David Sterling is the current Chairman and CEO of SterlingRisk. Since joining the agency as Vice President in 1978, he has successfully transformed SterlingRisk into a top 100 Insurance Brokerage and Risk Management firm. David has continued to nurture the niche markets in which the company has thrived since the early 1980s.
David is a pioneer and published author of the concept of Risk Purchasing Groups which enable similar but non-commonly owned businesses to purchase insurance as a group. By creating and utilizing the strength and negotiating power of a large, group, Sterling & Sterling is able to leverage the marketplace for all program members. This is the primary reason that the Total Body Pac® Program is able to offer comprehensive coverage at an affordable cost.
Since the early 1980s David has been an industry-renowned lecturer at the American Management Association on insurance-related topics. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of the Independent Insurance Agents Association.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, David has tirelessly given back to the community. He is a board member of the United Jewish Appeal, Vice President of the Nassau County Police Reserves, past chairman of the Chamber Players International, past chairperson for the Long Island United Jewish Appeal’s major gifts committee, and serving on the board of the Drug Agents’ Foundation.
